Robin Mehl, Co-Owner of Ironhorse Interiors, began learning all about the custom window treatment and decorating business in 1974 when he entered the family’s custom drapery manufacturing business, the second largest of its kind in the United States.
Serving an apprenticeship under some of the finest craftsman in Chicago, Robin eventually became skilled in every aspect of the custom drapery business. Techniques mastered include the precise installation of the most elaborate window treatments, to working at the cutting table before the seamstress would turn the goods into a masterpiece for a lucky person’s home or office.

Within two short years Robin left his home in the Chicago area, but took with him his knowledge that continues to serve him after thirty-five years in the business.
Now, three children later and living in Castle Rock, Colorado, Robin, wife Kimberly and their son, Casey, take their passion in decorating to some of the finest homes in Colorado.
Kimberly Mehl has been working with Robin in the business for 20 years. She has her Associate of Arts Degree in interior design from Brown Mackie College in Salina, Kansas. Her expertise is in room placement and in home accessorizing, putting the icing on the cake in decorating. Her degrees in fashion and design have been a huge benefit for the family owned business, Ironhorse Interiors.
